A deep lake in Russia vanished completely in a single night. Residents reported hearing strange rumbling sounds, and by morning, all the water was gone, leaving only a muddy crater. Scientists believe it may have drained into underground tunnels, but no one has ever found where the water went.
My Take: A whole lake does not just decide to disappear. If it drained somewhere, where is the new body of water? If the Earth swallowed it, what caused it? Maybe there is something under the ground we have never discovered yet.
