There are whispers of underground martial arts tournaments in China where only the best fighters are invited. At one of these events, an unknown fighter entered at the last minute. He was older, dressed in simple clothes, and had no known style. But when he fought, he moved like no one had ever seen before, defeating champion after champion with ease. When the tournament ended, he refused the prize money and walked out into the night. No one ever saw him again.
My Take: There are always stories of old masters who appear out of nowhere, as if testing the warriors of the current age. Maybe he was proving that true skill does not come from fame or recognition, but from something deeper.
